my start of this year has been very chaotic. I've lots of work to do and I've noticed I'm a bit stressed because of it. I'm getting tired of the cold and snowy weather outside, my fashion management education is harder than I expected and I'm having not a lot of energy lately.
But, hey. I'm also getting tired of my own complains and I decided to do some things that will cheer me up. Are you also a bit stressed? do you also have a little "winter depression"? Maybe these things will cheer you up a bit, like they cheered me up.
* Create a bucketlist
I've started creating my own bucket list a month ago. I love to brainstorm about things I really would like to do and adding them to my list. I've added some serious, some beautiful, some funny and a few "almost impossible" things to my list. Maybe I will share my list with you in the future :)
* Find a new sportive challenge
I've wanted to do something more challenging than fitness.. something new to be excited about. There is one sport I've always wanted to do; kickboxing. And that's what I'm gonna do, I can't wait to start training. I will tell you soon more, I hope I will like it.

* Do something creative
I've started to design my own fashion and accessories again. I used to do that often but now I want to take it to a next level. I'm also trying to develop my drawing and painting skills, escpecially when it comes to portraits.

* Make stupid things more fun
Here a few things that make my studying more fun; applying a hair and face mask while studying, drinking tea with cupcakes, music on the background that makes me feel more relaxed, polish my nails while learning, study together with a friend (warning: stay at least a bit serious) and cuddling with my cat.

* Have a lazy-crazy-movie night with one of your friends
A fun movie night with friends always cheers me up. Laughing about stupid things, eating everything our diets forbid us, crying together about every sad scene in a movie, reading magazines with face masks and talking about every "dramatic" thing that went on in our lifes.

hi Bodil, i think that this was a really sweet post and you have some really great ideas here for clearing up the winter blues or any blues for that matter! i personally do not have the winter blues this year as somehow i have started to get used to the cold and snow and really am not bothered by it, but i would like to do the things you suggested in any case :) i also really love the photo that you posted here of the girl reading the book. it is very pretty and is exactly what i want to be doing this summer :)

Our pity party feels you, winter is only bearable when it's snowing outside, you don't have anywhere to go and your inside by the fire with your loved ones for the unlimited time or ideally untill spring. Everything else about winter pretty much stinks. I guess what I'm trying to say is look forward to spring and everything's going to be OK!
